Study Tour to Avari Tower Karachi.

This is where it all started – our visit to Avari tower a 5star Hotel. 


We all are ready and excited for our first study tour.

The day began with an early start at 9:30am. I had been quite excited and looking forward to this visit as this would be the first 5 star hotel that I would be visiting. Hotels are the lifeline of Hospitality and can truly be called the backbone of a Hospitality industry.


Hospitality industry plays a strategic role and can have a significant impact on the economic growth of the country where they are situated. With the increased number of guests in the hotel, the requirements of infrastructure across the Hotel has also significantly increased.

Avari tower is situated in Karachi and accommodates a huge number of national and international guests. It handles a number of rooms. We were honored to visit the international Hotel chain. There we Met NEHAN HASEEB a PR & Communication Manager she give us a well tour of Avari Tower and give all the answer of our queries which we have in our mind and Head of Department explained some of the challenges they bear every day, including the challenge to attract new talent to the industry! We were fortunate to visit the Room division department and  Front office department where they coordinate different departments of the hotel and handle a huge number of guests at a time. It was truly amazing to see the patience level of Front Desk Officers, who needed to handle guests in an efficient way because hospitality is all about patience, which enhances or develops your character.

During the trip we explore Categories of rooms penthouse, business suite and all we also explore the mini bar in the room how it looks like and also we got to know about how housekeeper can take time to make one room and they also faced challenges like Mr Durrani told us that being a housekeeper is not an easy job because they has to make minimum 13 to 15 rooms in 8 hours job as per requirement than we went to the restaurant area (Asia live) it’s kitchen is attached with the restaurant and the F&B Manager Mr Haider gave us a little bit briefing regarding F&B service area. In the end Avari tower Management arranged some snacks for us. It was quite an amazing study tour. The Management of Avari tower is very cooperative and as a student hotel Industry study tour is a great source to gain practical knowledge for hospitality students. Students explore the real working environment and get to know how things are done in a hotel premises. Students can observe and learn how theoretical concepts are put into action for their practical learning.
